Anand Samir is excited to release his first album, Medicine Meditation Celebration.

His long musical journey has been defined by live music offerings in many different settings.  Early on he played in bars, clubs, festivals and street venues, bringing the energy of his music to celebrate the moment.  For the last 50-plus years, he has traveled extensively, including spending time in India and South America, with his guitar and voice supporting many different meditation and celebration experiences and bringing his personal medicine of healing and self-awareness to fellow seekers.  It was only a few years ago that the decision to record some of his songs finally landed and the wheels started moving in that direction.  For him it was a learning experience of how to combine heart and technology to bring to the world a lifetime of personal work with the intention to return to his own nature.  It’s been fun.  He feels happy with the recordings and excited and a bit relieved to let them go onto the world.

Anand means Bliss and Samir means Breeze in Sanskrit. This name, Anand Samir, was given to me by Osho when I went to India in the early 1970s. To receive this name from a living Master set my path on a whole new trajectory where my love for playing music became a meditation and celebration.

Music, Sound, Melody β€” with me from the beginning of this life.  Teaching myself guitar.  Tickling the piano keys.  Busking.  Playing gigs for beer.  Demos in Nashville.  Then off to India to jump off the landscape of my life.  Riding the waves of self discovery through Groups and Meditations.  Leaving behind so much and opening to trusting the new.  Discovering the let go and allowing the sound that comes from somewhere else to be played through willing fingers on waiting strings. Harmony in connection.
